Currently, the Stroke Club are regular users of our facilities every Thursday evening from 4 to 6pm and Bevan College visit us every Friday. Volunteers from Ogwr Bowls Club attend to support and coach new bowlers every week and we are very grateful to our volunteer members for making this possible.
We would welcome other Groups to come and try indoor bowls. It’s a great way of getting some exercise and meeting new friends.

Hi Wynne, it was great to see you today.
I wanted to express our thanks for the opportunity and support you and Paul have offered us during this indoor bowls season. As you know, our learners are some of the most disadvantaged in society and are frequently excluded from social activities in the local community. The welcoming and supportive Friday sessions have provided the learners with a space where they can play and learn whilst engaging in an accessible and competitive sport. Whilst bowling the learners develop their social and emotional regulation, numeracy and gross motor skills. They recognise and look forward to the Friday sessions as a fixture in their weekly activities and we plan to develop this experience so they can access local bowling facilities and communities after they finish their college placement.
Without your support these learning opportunities would not have been accessible. Please pass on the gratitude of the staff and students of Bevan College to all involved in making this happen.
